A heat wave has the western United States simmering as temperatures exceed triple digits in multiple states.

Gov. Tina Kotek declared a state of emergency Friday for all of Oregon. The Klamath Basin is expected to reach 102 degrees Saturday without much relief in the forecast ahead.

History walk canceled

The Klamath County Museum will postpone the history walk of Pacific Terrace planned for this Sunday due to extreme heat forecasted in the area.

Museum director Todd Kepple said the rescheduled event will be announced at a later date.
