One split-second decision proved ominous during Henley High’s 40-8 victory against Mazama on Friday night at a rain-drenched Hill-O’Brien Field.
“At first I thought it would roll into the end zone, but (the football) didn’t roll, so I saw it at the around the 5-yard line and went for it,” Henley senior Mark Carpenter said on the Hornets’ first touch of the ball.
