Fire restrictions are now in effect at Lava Beds National Monument.

In a Friday news release, park officials said the park is “enduring extreme drought conditions while experiencing high temperatures, low humidity, and critically dry fuels. To reduce the possibility of accidental human-caused fire that could threaten visitors and employees, fire restrictions are being implemented.”
