It’s time to kick off the holiday season.
The Klamath Snowflake Festival begins the festivities which last from Saturday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 11. Since 1984,The Klamath Snowflake Festival has provided holiday entertainment and activities that unite the community.
Opening with Santa Claus coming to town from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the YMCA and ending with a living nativity scene at the Mountain Valley Gardens, the Klamath Snowflake Festival offers something for everyone.
Also planned is the Santa Freeze event hosted by Ella Redkey Pool where guests can take a swim with Jolly ol’ Saint Nick at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.
There will also be a gingerbread house competition as well as two running events: An ugly sweater run and the Snowflake Mile.
The Snowflake Parade is scheduled to bring merriment down the streets of Klamath on Thursday, Dec. 8.
All events are presented by both non- and for-profit entities located within the Klamath Basin.
